About HydraFacial™ Stylus Treatment with Exosomes
As you age, the collagen–protein in your skin that helps it maintain its structure–declines, resulting in changes to the tone, texture, and quality of your skin. HydraFacial™ is a 3-step treatment that transforms the appearance of dull skin with moisture-rich serums infused with antioxidants to address skin damage. HydraFacial™ treatments are especially beneficial for patients who suffer from acne, a skin condition that affects approximately 45 million people in the United States. (1) HydraFacial™ improves the skin with gentle Vortex-Fusion™ technology that removes impurities with gentle suction. With this effective, well-tolerated treatment that requires minimal downtime, the Nubo Spa team can refresh your skin for a smoother, more youthful-looking appearance.
Exosomes
Exosomes can enhance your appearance by increasing your skin’s collagen levels, improving elasticity, and increasing moisture retention. They are tiny extracellular vesicles that help your skin repair itself by improving cellular communication. Exosomes carry nucleic acid, protein, and lipids throughout the body, (2) and they can optimize your immune response. This relatively new form of regenerative medicine is a holistic treatment that leverages the body’s natural healing process to improve your skin.
Benefits
HydraFacial™ stylus treatment with exosomes offers the following benefits, including:
- Improved skin quality: We can diminish the appearance of hyperpigmentation, age spots, acne, enlarged pores, and sun damage.
- Clearer skin: By removing impurities from the skin, we can address blemishes, acne, oily skin, and clogged pores.
- Lasting hydration: We can provide long-lasting moisture with nutrient-rich serums and antioxidant-infused creams.
- Well-tolerated treatment: The treatment is suitable for most skin types, including sensitive skin.
- Minimal downtime: You can return to most of your activities afterward if you avoid excessive sun exposure.
- Smoother skin: The treatment can reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles for a more youthful-looking appearance.
- More even skin tone: Reducing pigmentation can help you achieve a more youthful-looking appearance.
Candidates & Consultation
The best candidates for HydraFacial™ stylus treatments with exosomes are typically those who struggle with dry skin, signs of aging, and large pores. Many patients would like to improve the appearance of acne, hyperpigmentation, and/or sun damage. If you have oily, congested skin, the treatment can also help you maintain a clearer, brighter appearance.
During your consultation, we will examine your skin to determine the most effective treatment plan. Some patients will need a series of treatments to achieve their aesthetic goals. We customize each treatment and we offer several other innovative therapies to refresh your skin. Our treatments have helped many patients achieve beautiful, natural-looking results.

Preparation
To prepare for your treatment, you will need to:
- Schedule your treatment approximately 2 weeks before important events.
- Stop using Accutane (isotretinoin) for 6 months before your treatment unless otherwise instructed.
- Stop using Retin-A, tretinoin, and retinol for 48 hours before your appointment.
- Refrain from exfoliating skin treatments, waxing, and depilatories for 48 hours before and after treatment.
- Avoid excessive sun exposure.
- Refrain from receiving injectables, including Botox and fillers, for 2 weeks before you receive your treatment.
We also recommend that you stop using salicylic acid for 48 hours before your treatment. If you have a beard and/or thick facial hair, we will also recommend that you shave 3-4 hours before your treatment for optimal results. We can provide specific instructions, based on your treatment plan.
Treatment Process
During a HydraFacial™ stylus treatment with exosomes, we will perform several steps:
- Exfoliation: We will exfoliate your skin by removing debris and dead skin cells from the upper layer using a dermaplanning tool.
- Peel: With a combination of glycolic and salicylic acid, we can hydrate your skin and address impurities deeper in the pores, preparing your skin to remove them.
- Extraction: We will remove dead skin cells and impurities with vortex technology with gentle suction.
- Exosome serum: We will apply an exosome-infused serum to your skin with a thin wand. This serum often includes collagen and antioxidants to improve your skin’s hydration.
- Microneedling: Using a hand-held device, we will use tiny needles to penetrate the skin barrier, stimulating collagen production and helping the exosome serum penetrate deeper layers.
After Your Treatment
After your treatment, you should avoid washing your face for 24 hours. When you wash your face, you should use a gentle cleanser. You must also wait 24 hours to apply makeup. Refraining from saunas and intense exercise temporarily is also important to prevent sweating that could clog your pores.
Results
Many patients find that their self-esteem improves, and they feel more confident about their appearance afterward. You can enjoy smoother, more youthful-looking skin after the HydraFacial™ stylus treatment with exosomes. The serums and hydration from the treatment can transform a dull complexion by removing impurities to significantly improve your skin.
To maintain their results, many patients receive a monthly treatment. Regular treatments can combat signs of aging by improving the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, acne, and hyperpigmentation. We can recommend a specific treatment plan based on the condition of your skin and your aesthetic goals.
